Q: Do you offer custom sizes?
A: Yes and we are more than happy to. We'll tailor the product dimensions and steel section size to suit your needs. Please get in touch with us to discuss your project. Charges may apply.
Q: Are your table bases suitable for a stone table top?
A: Yes, table bases for stone table tops are our speciality, it's what we're best known for in the furniture industry. Our heavy-duty and extra heavy-duty table base collection is specially designed for all types of natural and manmade stone work surfaces. Thin stone such as Dekton or ceramic table tops are fragile and must be horizontally supported, which is why we engineer the bases for maximum support and use heavy-gauge steel for strength and rigidity.
Q: I have a stone table top, what size table base do I need?
The size of the base is often determined by the intended seating arrangement and style of base. For this example, we'll use the traditional style, 4-leg 'June Bold' design. If your top measures 2000 x 1000 mm, and you want to place chairs on all four sides, we recommend a base size of 1900 x 900 mm.
For the second example, we'll use a central pedestal design such as the 'Xea' table base. If your top measures 2000 x 1000 mm, and you want to place chairs on all four sides, we recommend a base size of 1500 x 500 mm. The overhang is important for placing chairs under the table and to ensure you are able to seat people comfortably at the table without leg interference.
Q: Which base width is right for me, 70 or 50 cm?
Going by a pedestal base such as the Xea, a 50 cm base pairs well with a 100-110cm wide table top. A 70 cm base pairs well with a 120-130 cm wide table top.

Q: Are your products handmade?
A: Yes, 100%. Please feel welcome to follow the BTS process on our Instagram and Facebook page! All of our products are carefully and expertly handcrafted in our East Yorkshire-based workshop close to the cities of Hull and York. By purchasing through us, you're not only putting an enormous smile on our faces, but you're also supporting a small business with big aspirations.
Q: How do I care for my steel?
A: Caring for your powder-coated steel is easy. Dust with a microfiber cloth on a daily basis. To remove unwanted dirt, rub with a damp cloth and dry immediately.
Q: Do your products come with a manufacturing guarantee?
A: We give a lifetime guarantee on all of our products. This guarantee applies strictly to UK mainland residents and covers against manufacturing defects. The guarantee excludes damage resulting from ordinary wear and tear, accidental damage, improper use, or environmental weathering.
Q: Do you offer trade discount?
A: Yes, we are able to offer a trade account to eligible partners within the furniture and kitchen trade. Upon being accepted for a trade account, you will receive a dedicated discount code to use on our website.
Q: Do you offer a bulk order discount?
A: If you require a large batch of table bases or furniture frames for a project on a quick turnaround, we'd be happy to provide a quote and pass on generous savings. To receive a quote please email for more details.
Q: Are your frames suitable for outdoors?
A: Our powder-coated mild steel products are suitable for use outdoors. However, an annual maintenance examination should be carried out with any paint chips or visible rust spots taken care of.
Q: Processing time & delivery
A: For our latest processing time, please see the notification bar on our website. The estimated delivery date is based on your purchase date, the recipient's location, our (the seller's) processing time, and the chosen courier. Other factors, such as placing an order on a weekend or a bank holiday, may push the arrival of your item beyond the estimated delivery date.
We hope your item arrives as soon as possible, but given the factors involved, this is only an estimate. We endeavour to keep you, as the customer, well informed with regards to production updates and an accurate dispatch date once your order(s) are prepared for packaging.
Q: Once my item(s) have been dispatched, how long does delivery take?
A: 1-2 working days. For the highlands and certain mainland postcodes, the delivery is between 48-72 hrs. Courier tracking information is provided for your reference. On the day of the delivery ETA, the tracking page will update with a 2-hour ETA delivery time slot.
Q: Do you offer specific powder-coated colours?
A: Aside from our standard range of black and bronze powder coated colours, we are able to offer any colour from the RAL classic range, these paint codes are 4-digits.
